Xbox Series X leaked -- a weaker next-gen Xbox

Microsoft will release two versions of its next-general Xbox Series console. The first, the Xbox Series X, is well known about, having been unveiled many months ago and its hardware and software platform broken down at various conferences and news events. What was only rumor — until now — was an alternative version of the system, known as the Xbox Series S. This console will reportedly use the same software platform, but will be a cheaper, less powerful version of the next-generation system.

This leak comes courtesy of a Twitter user (via VideoCardz) who discovered a legitimate Xbox Series X controller on an online market and grabbed it for $35. The controller is the Robot White design and shows some subtle changes over the Xbox One gamepad. What's most intriguing, however, is that the controller is said to support both the Xbox Series X and Series S models.

We don't have any hard details on what the Xbox Series S would be like, but some allegedly leaked specifications give it half the memory of a Series X (7.5 vs 13GB) and offer comparable overall performance to an Xbox One X, or around 4 TFLOPS — the Series X will be capable of as much as 12 TFLOPs.
