Time Machine VR offers Jurassic Park experience to VR users

Ever since we all watched Jurassic Park as children, we've yearned for the idea of visiting a world where dinosaurs existed, and if you didn't, I don't know what's wrong with you.

Of course with all the nonsense science in that book and film, it's unlikely that any time soon we'll be able to birth real life dinosaurs and even if we did, they would take upwards of a decade to grow to a size close to how we imagined them, by which point a rogue AI may have wiped us out anyway.

So for now we'll have to settle for a virtual park, like the one in Time Machine VR.

This virtual reality enabled step back in time lets you explore underwater environments that haven't existed on Earth for millions of years. Ancient dinosaurs, fish and other animals populate these prehistoric areas and you can visit all of them in glorious VR as long as you have an Oculus Rift DK2.

The game is currently in Early Access and available to buy on Steam for $15. While it's still in the early stages of development, those behind it expect it to be feature complete within a year and early reviews are already stellar. We can report from our own experiences that they're not wrong.

Any of you got a DK2 and interested in trying this out?
