These are the 12 games Google Stadia will have at launch

Google has finally announced the list of launch titles for its upcoming Stadia game streaming service and it has some decent games in it, but it's not exactly expansive. At just 12 titles, Google will need to hope that the games on that list really tickle gamers as not all of them are brand new, and not all are, big AAA games that need powerful PCs to run otherwise.

The full list at the time of writing is as follows:

  • Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle
  • Borderlands 3
  • Darksiders Genesis
  • Dragonball Xenoverse 2
  • Farming Simulator 19
  • Final Fantasy 15
  • Football Manager 2020
  • Ghost Recon Breakpoint
  • Grid
  • Metro Exodus
  • NBA 2K20
  • Rage 2
  • Trials Rising
  • Wolfenstein: Youngblood

Google has previously suggested that it would have 40 games available to play through Stadia at some point in the future, but it didn't give us much of a timeline for their addition and inclusion. For now we have this list of 12 titles, with Google promising 14 will be playable by the end of 2019.

Of notable inclusion are Thumber and Just Dance, two games that rely heavily on timing and rhythm to progress through. If Stadia is even off by a few milliseconds, those games will show it the most.

Other games expected to debut on the platform in 2020 include Doom: Eternal, Watch Dogs: Legion, Gods and Monsters, and Cyberpunk 2077 — all big releases for the year and being fresh off their development cycles, should be a good test for how much of the traditional console and PC gaming audience Google Stadia can siphon away to Google's datacenters.

Do you plan to pick up Stadia when it launches on November 19?
