Along with hardware and pricing details, Nintendo also shed some light on the first few games to expect on its upcoming console-handheld hybrid, the Nintendo Switch.
Unsurprisingly, the first and foremost launch game for the Switch is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Though it is a Switch launch title, Breath of the Wild will also be released simultaneously on Wii U. The game is set in an open world and it focuses on crafting and survival in addition to combat.
Depending on disposition, you might be more interested in hearing about the Switch's Super Mario Odyssey which brings Nintendo's titular hero to an open world sandbox. The trailer shows a highly agile Mario traversing various environments with acrobatic maneuvers such as wall hopping and pole jumping. The game is set for release in "holiday 2017."
