The Steam Summer sale is here and it's got a game buying game again

Valve has gotten exceedingly good at gamifying its Steam store over the past few years during sale periods and the Steam Summer Sale 2019 is no exception. This year there's a team based Steam Grand Prix that has those on various animal-based teams competing to get ahead of the pack by completing achievements and making purchases within the store. Because if you buy things, you win!

Well, you can win. Each day the winning team will receive three points, with other teams receiving less. A random selection of drivers in the winning team will also receive a free game or two from their wishlist. At the end of the event there will be an overall winner declared, although it's not yet clear what kind of prizes they can expect for that honor.

But enough about the extras that come with a Steam sale, what about the sales themselves? As usual, there are a heap of great games now discounted. Here are some of our favorites:

Kerbal Space Program - $10
Rise of Industry - $20
PC Building Simulator - $15
Hollow Knight - $8
Soul Calibur VI - $20
Two Point Hospital - $15
FrostPunk - $15
