If you feel like you're a dab hand at Rocket League at this point, able to score aerial, bicycle kick goals off of the wall, while reversing... with ease, then perhaps it's time we shook things up a bit. Rocket League's new Rumble Mode adds a whole new level of play to it, with the introduction of power ups.
Power Ups in Rocket League act a little like the ones you get in games like Mario Kart, giving you abilities that allow you to attack your opponents, control the ball, or improve your own vehicle's capabilities. There's grappling hooks, ball freeze, tornado, car spikes and a giant boot that punts your opponents out of the way.
If you prefer your Rocket League straight up without any shenanigans though, never fear, as Rumble Mode isn't replacing anything, it will just become part of the mutator rotator in the game, so if you want to play hoops, or ice hockey or any of the other random gameplay modes in Rocket League, you can now throw Rumble Mode into the mix.
Or not. You can continue to play Rocket League as before. While this new mode may fracture the community a little when first released, changes are it will remain a fringe, so don't sweat it too much.
This mode should be great for couch-competitive play at parties though.
