PS3 Kiosks Everywhere

PS3 Kiosks Everywhere

Sony will only have 400,000 PS3 consoles available for the U.S. launch of its product but it has managed to secure 15,000 units for various demo kiosks it plans to setup all over the U.S. and Canada.

According to Bloomberg, Sony plans to blitz the gaming market this industry with a total of 15,000 PS3 demo kiosks, a number which becomes even more impressive when you consider that Sony only had 3,000 kiosks for the PS2's launch in 2000.

The push to convince consumers that PlayStation 3 is worth it is very important for Sony as it has to convince the buying public that its console is worth its hefty price tag. That becomes clearer when you read what SCEA's COO Jack Tretton had to say, Once the consumers get their hands on a PS3 and understand what's under the hood, I think price will not be a factor in the decision-making process.

Well Wii will also need a strong push in the demo side of things in order to convince the public that its innovative controller is really does what it says on the box, it will be interesting to see which of the two companies can convince the public.
