Plants vs Zombies 3 just entered pre-alpha

Well this came out of nowhere. A sequel to the sequel of one of many people's most beloved of PopCap games, Plants vs. Zombies, has just shown up on the , the news suggests that the developer has been working on PvZ3 for quite some time already and now it wants players around the world to help make "this amazing zombie-battling experience even better."

PopCap also posted a Q&A which talks about the reasons for developing a third game and why it's in pre-alpha at this time. It answers that it wants to bring the Plants vs Zombies experience to a new generation of gamers, as well as enhance what came before — it also wants extensive feedback from the community. So if you didn't like the way PvZ2 was filled with microtransactions, now's the time to let the developers know.

The pre-alpha is restricted to Android devices for now. You'll need at least a Galaxy S7 or higher-specifications wise, to play it, and your smartphone needs to support Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or later. You'll also need to be logged into your Play Store account in order to play it.

You'll also need to be lucky. At the time of writing the Google Play store link for Plants vs Zombies 3 has been taken down, in what appears to be a move by EA/PopCap to limit the number of people downloading the pre-alpha. We expect it will go back up periodically to allow more players access, but it's working with a very limited number at this time.

What do you guys want to see PopCap do with PvZ3?
