Nokia to N-Gage EA

In order to better celebrate its omnipresence in this year's ECTS event in London, announced an agreement with Electronic Arts, the world's leading interactive entertainment software company, to deliver select EA titles for the highly anticipated Nokia N-Gage platform. Beginning this year for the holiday season, EA will deliver some of its leading game titles for the Nokia N-Gage, the world's first mobile and connected game deck that will be available globally on October 7, 2003.

This is a great opportunity for us to extend titles from EA SPORTS and EA GAMES onto a new and exciting game platform, said EA Executive Vice President of North American Publishing Nancy Smith. We plan to make use of all the great features of the Nokia N-Gage.

We are thrilled to have Electronic Arts, an undisputed industry leader, on board the Nokia N-Gage. In recent years, EA has set a new industry standard on game design and interactive gameplay, said Ilkka Raiskinen, Senior Vice President, Entertainment and Media Business Unit, Nokia Mobile Phones. By working with world's leading publishers like EA, we are continuing to focus on the long term success of the Nokia N-Gage platform.

With MoH already announced for the GBA it is a safe bet that a version of that game will also find its way to the N-Gage while all of EA's sports titles, with their enticing multiplayer capabilities should also appear, at some point, for the phone, mp3, game console, radio... hybrid.
