Speaking during a keynote interview at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this week, Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopolous revealed that their Rock Band franchise won't see any new titles in 2009.
"We've actually made a choice to break out of the annual release cycle for Rock Band this year," Rigopolous said. "[This is] partly because the annual cycle places limits on the choices you can make as a developer. We're trying to take a long term view."
Rigopolous then added that another reason for the break is to focus on The Beatles Game announced late last year. The Beatles Game is a music game that plays like Rock Band but focuses solely on the Beatle's journey.
