No Man's Sky officially goes gold

Despite numerous delays, indie-developed space exploration title, No Man's Sky, has finally gone gold. That means that whatever state the game is in - presumably as finished and as bug free as Hello Games could make it - it will release this August on PlayStation 4 and Windows PCs.

The team behind the game celebrated this news on the official No Man's Sky twitter account, showcasing how happy the team was to finally finish the monstrous four-year project which has tied them all up since it was first announced.

Ever since its earliest debut which showed smooth planetary atmosphere to space transitions for space craft and the wide variety of plants and animals that could be found on each world, people have been captivated with the headily randomised game. There are literally billions of worlds for players to explore, so it could well be some time before even a fraction have seen human feet of any kind.

Are you excited to see how No Man's Sky eventually shapes up?
