The Mummy Joins Road to Hell

Atari announced that Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo will lend his formidable likeness to Saul Meyer, the hero of the forthcoming PC title Boiling Point: Road to Hell due for release in late Spring 2005. Players will come face to face with Vosloo's well known features during the game's many cut scenes currently under production at Deep Shadows, as well as on the front of pack and in advertising for the game.

South African born Vosloo is known for his role as the Mummy in The Mummy and The Mummy Returns and more recently starring in the latest series of 24. He has a richly varied acting career already behind him, encompassing stage, TV and over 15 feature films. He has worked with a host of top class directors, including Ridley Scott and John Woo, and even appeared on stage opposite the legendary Al Pacino. Amongst the accolades he has received for his work, Vosloo has won many awards in his native country, including twice receiving the RSA Dalro Award for Best Actor.

Vosloo himself claims, among other things that it's ...great to be on the right side of justice for a change.

Boiling Point: Road to Hell is set in the present day jungles of South America, a realistic and contemporary gaming world in which every decision, action and relationship affects the outcome. Deep Shadows' innovative game engine streams the beautifully rendered environment, creating a non-linear gameplay experience, with no loading times or levels, in a continuous world spanning 625 square kilometres. To make the most of the scenery, a massive range of vehicles is at the disposal of the player, as well as a vast array of weapons to fire from them.

Boiling Point: Road to Hell for personal computer will be released in May 2005.
