Dan Mosedale from Mozilla Labs revealed that they are working on a new 3D engine that'll utilize html 5 and WebGL to run in Firefox and other web browsers.
The new 3D engine is called "Gladius" and it is a part of the wider project "Paladin" that aims to push 3D gaming on the web.
To test Gladius, Mozilla created a small game / tech demo called RescueFox. RescueFox is available now online and is playable here.
