The much anticipated and highly decorated, at this year's E3, Half-Life 2, it has been announced will become available this holiday season.
During the E3 show Valve seemed confident that the game would be released on-time, on September 30th, 2003. Today however, VUGames, H-L 2 developers, announced that the game will not make the fall deadline but will be available in time for the holiday season.
Details behind the delay have not been revealed yet so it is too early to assume some development problem since the delay could also be a simple marketing strategy.
In the H-L 2 case no one expects gamers to complain over the delay since most want developers to take their time in order to make sure that the game meets, or exceeds, their already very high expectations.
