Grow Home gets a launch trailer

It's with a mix of love and hate that we promote Ubisoft content, as its AAA published and developed titles tend to be messes of micro-transactions and bugs, despite the stunning attention to detail in the environments. But its indie titles, like Valiant Hearts and Child of Light, are so beautifully drawn and well done, that you can't lump all its games into one pile of disappointment.

That's why Grow Home is worth promoting, as its cell-shaded, cutesey art style is just the kind of game that Ubisoft puts out to help it buck the trend of its AAA failings.

Featuring a lovable robot that needs to return home by puzzle solving his way up an enormous beanstalk, Grow Home is now officially available on Steam for just $8. It also has a launch trailer, hence the title to this piece.

Throughout your adventure you'll discover new ways to traverse the colourful environment as you make your way to the summit, meeting new friends and enemies along the way.

Describing the game as an offshoot from development on procedural generation tools, Ubisoft Reflections producer Pete Young said, "We created the opportunity for us to experiment on a smaller scale. We had some very challenging restraints and our ultimate goal was to create something new and completely different."
