Get a free Fortnite dance with two factor authentication

With its millions upon millions of players and subsequent hundreds of millions of dollars of injected money for VBucks, Fortnite account theft is becoming a serious problem. In an attempt to combat that, Epic Games has implemented two-factor authentication for the game and it wants everyone to use it. To encourage them to do so, it's now giving out a free dance to anyone who shores up their account.

For those confused about what 2FA is, it's effectively a double-check each time you login. It asks you to provide details from your secondary account or device, in order to prove it's actually you. Someone on the other side of the world trying to hack your account won't have that access, so won't be able to fake it.

2FA isn't foolproof of course, but it's a lot better than relying on your bog standard password.

The dance you get for enabling it is known as the Boogie Down and it's available exclusively to those who protect their account with a second device. You'll need to use an email account or an authenticator app to add 2FA to your account, but when you do, you'll be granted the Premium dance for free.

The process for enabling it is simple. Just login to your Fortnite account on the official web page, navigate to your account page and then check out passwords and security. At the bottom of that page will be the option to enable 2FA with the authenticator. Do so and you're all protected!
