First SteamVR game lets us learn how "to job"

Just in-case you didn't have enough fun while working at work, the first game on Valve's previewed SteamVR system will be Job Simulator, a game that will have you playing at working, courtesy of AaaAAaa! For the Awesome! developer, Owlchemy Labs.

While information on the ground about what the game will involve is a bit slim at the moment, we do have a basic synopsis for the situation our protagonist will find themselves in and it looks to be all about completing relatively menial tasks, in order to preserve the culture of working in a time where it is no longer necessary.

"Robots cook, clean, service, and rule organize the world with precision and speed. Human occupations are now memories of the past; long gone are the blue collar jobs that ran the old world. Humans raised in our perfect automated society must not forget their useless ancient ancestors and history," reads the official site.

"This is why Job Bot was born. Job Bot created Job Simulator to teach humans what it is 'to job'. All praise to Job Bot, for he is the keeper of human history."

This game will be shown off alongside new VR hardware, including the HTC Vive headset, at the Game Developers Conference this week in San Francisco, running from 2nd through to the 6th. A release date has yet to be announced.
