One of the biggest compliments that anyone could give the new Halo's multiplayer, is that it's like the original game and that's something many people have been saying about the first beta footage that's been released.

It's not exactly the same however, as players do now have thrusters, which let them dodge in any direction at any time and they can even hover in mid-air to get a slightly more stable, but still mobile, shooting platform.

The speed boost that the thrusters give players opens up whole new ways to not only get out of the way of enemies, but also to charge in and melee attack.

There's also this thing called smart scope, which you know is going to be a point of contention when this game is released into the wild.

Environments are an interesting mix of alien and and familiar, with an obvious boost to graphical fidelity.

Halo 5: Guardians is expected to release sometime in late 2015.
