If you're running a graphics card that's a generation or two old, you're not going to have the easiest time running Final Fantasy XV's PC port. Although the PC rendition of the latest game in the franchise isn't the most taxing game we've ever seen, it does ask a lot when you start to raise the settings up and those looking to run in at full tilt will want to make sure that they are using something very powerful indeed.
Final Fantasy XV was a pretty game when it was first released on consoles in November 2016, but it's expected to be even more so when it launches on PC. It will have the ability to take things up to 4K resolution and adds HDR rendering for improved coloring and lighting too. All of that means you'll need additional graphical power to run it.
Fortunately, we now know what you need to run the game at minimum and recommended settings. Here's the kind of setup you'll need for both.

- Intel Core i5-2400 (3.15ghz) or AMD FX-6100 (3.3ghz) CPU
- Geforce GTX760 or equivalent GPU
Recommended
- Windows 10 w/ DirectX 11
- 16GB RAM
- Intel Core i7-3770 (3.4ghz) or AMD FX-8350 (4.0ghz) CPU
- Nvidia GTX 1060 or equivalent GPU
The recommended specs do suggest you have a pretty hefty CPU and a good 16GB of memory too, alongside that 1060. That's not the most costly gaming PC set up in the world, but it's not cheap either.
Of course though, it's important to highlight that even if you match those recommended specs, you're only going to be hitting 1080P resolution with mid-range graphical settings. It will look great, but if you want it to run flat out, and maintain 60 FPS while using 4K resolution and all of its advanced effects, you're going to need a lot more than that.
