Bloodborne speedrun beats it in 44 minutes

As great as games are for making you feel like a badass, with all of the millions around the world participating in the hobby, you know there are always many people that are much, much better than you. That's why if you're playing through the spiritual Souls sequel, Bloodborne at the moment, you might want to skip this guy's speedrun, which manages to finish the game in under three quarters of an hour.

Fortunately though, this is one of those speedruns where the nature of fair play doesn't exist. Orinam_TV there uses the item duplication bug to chew though thousands of souls very quickly, making him insanely powerful off of the bat. He also uses a few little flaws in the game to skip over big chunks of content that would otherwise take quite a while.

Although this is all legitimate in the world of speedrunning, it does at least mean that this guy isn't that much better than you off the bat, even if it does take some skill to pull off everything quite as fast as he did.

Personally, I don't see the point in speedrunning a game. I understand it's an achievement, but it feels like it defeats the point of playing a game for fun in the first place.

What do you guys think?
