The Banner Saga was a very well received turn based, strategy roguelike-lite game from early 2014, that promised to become part of a trilogy at the time. Despite that big promise though, it's been years since and despite a trailer and hints, little has been seen of the game in recent months.
Finally though we now know that the Banner Saga II, is set to launch on April 19, on PC, with console versions expected to arrive in the following months - it took quite some time for the original game to hit the latest generation of home consoles, so any time in the near future would be a big improvement.
The new game will feature a new race of Centaurs for humans and Varls to make pacts with, though whether that will be enough to stop the advance of the ever stoic Dredge is anyone's guess.
