Assassin's Creed III Remaster coming on March 29

Assassin's Creed III Remaster coming on March 29

Ubisoft has a number of new games debuting in the coming weeks, but one that's sneaking in under the radar is a remaster of Assassin's Creed III. Set to debut on March 29, the graphically enhanced version will boost visuals with new support for 4K resolution on consoles and PC, as well as improved HDR lighting, higher resolution textures, among a variety of other minor graphical enhancements.

The remastered version of Assassin's Creed III bundles together the full game, enhanced single player missions Benedict Arnold, Hidden Secrets, and the expansion The Tyranny of King Washington. It will also include the full Assassin's Creed III Liberation Remaster as well.

While texture and model detail improvements are obvious in the early release trailer, lighting and shader enhancements are arguably the more impressive. They lend a depth and contrast to the visuals which was not present in the original game's release in 2012.

The same goes for LIberation, the PS Vita exclusive (at the time) released that same year. While its visuals aren't as impressive as its major console and PC counterpart, it too has been given a striking fresh coat of paint.

Both games will be released together for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on March 29.
