Alongside its killer new CPUs, AMD has released its new-generation Navi, RDNA-based graphics cards, known as the Radeon 5700 and 5700 XT. These cards have proved to be competitive with Nvidia enough to encourage the release of the new "Super" RTX graphics cards, which in turn pushed AMD to drop its prices. That makes its new cards much more competitive and they tend to slot into the GPU lineup from both companies, adding a couple of AMD steps to the scale.
The rough ranking for overall graphics card power at the time of writing is as folllows:

- Nvidia RTX 2080 Super
- AMD Radeon VII
- Nvidia RTX 2070 Super
- AMD Radeon 5700 XT
- Nvidia RTX 2060 Super
- AMD Radeon 5700 XT

- Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti
- Nvidia GTX 1660
- AMD RX 590
- AMD RX 580
Value for money tends to scale relatively well throughout the range, with a few outliers. The 2080 Ti is still by far the most powerful and by far the most expensive. It's worth it if you have deep pockets, but its bang for buck isn't anywhere near that of the RTX 2080 Super or RTX 2070 Super.
The Radeon VII is not worth it at its current near-$700 price, while the 5700 offers better value than the 5700 XT, at $350 vs $400, especially if we factor in overclocking.
The best bang for buck card at this point could be the 2060 Super, but it's still not cheap at north of $400.
