We don't yet know how well AMD's upcoming RX 5700 graphics cards are going to perform against Nvidia's existing Turing GPUs and its new batch of Super refreshes, but one thing we can tell you for sure, is that the new AMD cards have gorgeous packaging.

This may not be an important consideration when it comes to buying a new graphics card, but it sure is a nice addition to the whole experience of spending $400+ on a new graphics card. AMD has brought over a number of the design choices from its Navi shroud to the packaging, employing the same indented design of the XT, along with the grey-ridged look, and a half-cut of a coaxial fan to boot.

The box splits down the middle revealing the graphics cards inside and there's a red color scheme for the interior — gold if you buy the 50th-anniversary edition card(s). It also reveals the moniker "bend the rules," a seeming reference to the dented design of the XT's cooler.

We also got our first glimpse of a third-party card from ASRock in WCCFTech's story, showing that not every partner company out there has opted for AMD's new style of blower cooler. It's still a blower, but it lacks the same shroud coloring and texturing as the first-party AMD cards. It instead employs a more traditional, silver shroud, going for a similarly refined look as more traditional AMD blower-cooled cards.

The AMD 5700 and 5700 XT will launch on July 7 priced at $380 and $450 respectively. They should offer performance in excess of the standard RTX 2060 and 2070, but how much, remains to be seen.
