AMD partners with Ubisoft for Far Cry 5 Gaming PC bundles

Buying one of a number of pre-built AMD gaming systems will get you a copy of Far Cry 5 right out of the gate, thanks to a partnership between AMD and Ubisoft. Considering the prices of new graphics cards are still sky high due to miners buying them all, this might be the best way for you to upgrade in 2018 anyhow.

To qualify for the promotion, whereby you'll receive a free key for Ubisoft's new Far Cry 5, you need to purchase a PC with an AMD Vega 64, Vega 54 or RX 580 graphics card in it. None of those are low-end GPUs, so these systems won't be cheap, but there's nothing to stop you from scrimping elsewhere if you're a little budget conscious.

You do have to buy from a qualifying vendor though. Participating retailers include: VA Direct, CyberPower PC, Cybertron PC, Digital Storm, Extreme PC, Falcon Northwest, iBuyPower, Maingear, Origin PC, Puget Systems, Velocity Micro, Xidax, and Xotic. PCGamer suggests that there are also some other compatible retailers in other regions like EMEA, though those aren't listed.

If you want to check the terms and conditions of the AMD reward scheme, you can find the details here.

Far Cry 5 is breaking from tradition with its story, taking place predominantly in the United States, with enemies made up of good ol' boys who have started a dangerous cult in the heartland of America. Religious extremism oozes from the latest trailer and shows what fanaticism can do in the hands of those who know how to wield it.

Of course, it will be up to players to stop that with lots of gunfire. Far Cry 5 launches on all major platforms on March 27.
